UCO Trio Earns All-MIAA Honors

Central Oklahoma Has Six Recognized With Postseason Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma graduate students Rebekah George and Megan Wilson and sophomore Caleah Carter were all honored Friday when the MIAA announced its annual postseason awards for women's soccer.

George was named First Team All-MIAA for the second year in a row. The Choctaw, Oklahoma native and midfielder led UCO in points this season with two goals and six assists for a total of 10 points. Last season George led the league in goals scored and while she didn't score as much in 2025, she led the MIAA in assists.

Wilson was named Third Team All-MIAA, earning the postseason honor for the first time in her career at UCO. The Edmond native and defender played a key role in Central Oklahoma posting 10 shutouts on the season. UCO allowed only 16 goals in 18 games this season, an average of 0.89 per contest, and opponents only managed 9.3 shots per game over the course of the year.

Carter was also a Third Team All-MIAA selection. The sophomore from Edmond scored three goals this season and dished out two assists.

Central Oklahoma also had three others earn Honorable Mention All-MIAA. Rebecca Tweedy, a senior forward from Norman, Sophia Gaskins, a freshman defender from Jenks, and Avery Bass, a senior goalkeeper from Broken Arrow, were all recognized for their standout seasons.

Tweedy scored one goal this season. Gaskins played center back and helped Wilson and company to the 10 UCO shutouts. Bass anchored the defense in goal, recording all 10 shutouts while making 63 saves. She led the league in shutouts and ranked in the top 15 nationally.

UCO earned the No. 6 seed in the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship and begins postseason play Sunday at No. 3 Central Missouri in the quarterfinals.
