Baylor Bostick Named MIAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

Central Oklahoma Junior Won First Career Tournament Tuesday At Shangri-La

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma junior Baylor Bostick was named MIAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday, following his win at the MSSU Fall Invitational this week.
 
Bostick shot a 4-under-par 212 this week at Shangri-La Resort in Monkey Island, Oklahoma. He opened the tournament Monday morning with a 1-over 73 before turning it on Monday afternoon, when he sank six birdie putts and shot a 5-under 67. Bostick returned on Tuesday to shoot even-par, countering three bogeys with three more birdies – he sank 12 this week – and finished with the 4-under 212 to earn his first career win.
 
In four tournaments this season, Central Oklahoma has won three of them. The Bronchos won The Mule and the NSU Classic in September before finishing second in the Skip Wagnon Invitational at KickingBird Golf Club earlier this month.
 
Bostick finished ninth at The Mule with a 211 (67-67-77) and 31st at the NSU Classic with a 214 (69-71-74). He finished third at the Skip Wagnon Invitational with a 9-under 201 (70-67-64) and was named MIAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week after that tournament too.
 
In 12 rounds of golf this season, Bostick is has a 69.8 scoring average.


Central Oklahoma plays in the DBU Classic in Rockwall, Texas next week to wrap up the fall semester.
