UCO Leads DBU Classic After Two Rounds Monday

Bronchos Going For Fourth Win Tuesday In Texas

ROCKWALL, Texas – Central Oklahoma is in first place after two trips around Rockwall Golf Club Monday with the Bronchos posting a 7-under-par 569 on Day 1 of the DBU Classic.

Central Oklahoma leads second place teams Southern Arkansas and St. Mary's, both of which shot 5-under 571s on Monday. Host Dallas Baptist (579) is in fourth place and Midwestern State (585) is in fifth.

UCO had the second lowest score in each of the first two rounds on Monday. The Bronchos opened the 7,182-yard Par 72 course with a 3-under 285 Monday morning and came back with a 4-under 284 in the afternoon.

Bryant Polhill leads the Bronchos and is in fourth place individually. The sophomore from Edmond shot a 3-under 141 on Monday. Polhill posted a 4-under 68 and a 1-over 73.

Baylor Bostick shot a 1-under 143 and is tied for eighth place. The junior from Duncan opened with an even-par 72 and then did one better in the second round with a 1-under 71.

Karsten Paciotti had a big turnaround and is in 11th place. He started with a 4-over 76, one stroke higher than the daily average. But he came back with a 4-under 68 to get to even par for the tournament heading into Tuesday's final round.

Nick Canales and Rhett Hughes are one shot back in 14th place to round out the UCO lineup. Canales shot an opening round 1-over 73 and followed with an even par 72. Hughes started with a 72 and came back in the afternoon with a 73. Brock Jerman is playing as an individual in the tournament and is in last place (85th) after a 22-over-par 166 (87-79).

Central Oklahoma looks to hold on to the lead and claim its fourth title in five fall tournaments on Tuesday.
