Broncho Volleyball Moves Up To No. 15 In Latest AVCA Top 25

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Central Oklahoma jumped up three spots in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25, announced Monday.

The Bronchos are now No. 15 in the country heading into Week 3 of the 2024-25 season.

"We've been playing at a good level," UCO head volleyball coach Edgar Miraku said. "We've needed pretty much everyone to get to this point, we're kind of banged up and we've battled illness too. But the team is doing a great job of finding a way to get it done, whoever that might be."

Central Oklahoma is 9-0 this season and this past week, the Bronchos went 5-0 with a non-conference win at Oklahoma Baptist and four more at the Flagler Saints Classic. UCO beat Flagler, Embry-Riddle, Nova Southeastern, and Trevecca Nazarene in the three-day festival.

The Bronchos will make their home debut this week at Hamilton Field House. UCO is co-hosting an MIAA/GAC crossover event with Southern Nazarene that brings six teams to Edmond. UCO will play Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, Oklahoma Baptist and East Central on Friday, and then Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday.
