Central Ranked 10th In Men's Golf Preseason Poll

UCO Returns Three All-Americans, Starts Season Sept. 9

NORMAN, Okla. – The 2024-25 Bushnell/Golfweek DII Preseason Coaches' Poll was released Friday and Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 10 in the nation as the Bronchos prepare to begin a new season.

Defending national champion Colorado Christian is No. 1 in the poll. CCU bumped UCO from the national championship in the match play quarterfinals. North Georgia, Oklahoma Christian, West Florida, and Georgia Southwestern round out the top five. Lincoln Memorial, Grand Valley State, Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern, and UCO round out the top 10.

UCO had one of its best seasons in school history last year. The Bronchos finished in the top three in all 10 regular season tournaments, winning each of the last three heading into the postseason. Central Oklahoma also won the Central/Midwest Regional Championship and finished third at the national championships to advance to match play.

Central Oklahoma returned three All-Americans for this year's squad, including national runner-up Jordan Wilson. Bennett Baldwin and Nick Canales also return giving the Bronchos a strong top three in the lineup. UCO has five other returners with experience and added two freshmen to the 2024-25 squad.

UCO opens the fall portion of its schedule Sept. 9-10 in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Bronchos play The Mule at Mules National with the 54-hole event playing two rounds Monday and a final round Tuesday.

Central has five scheduled events in the fall, including a return to the site of nationals for the NCAA National Preview in Florida next month. The Bronchos will also play a regional preview in Missouri, a league tournament in Topeka, Kansas, and UCO finishes its fall slate with the Dallas Baptist Classic in Texas.
