UCO Begins MIAA Outdoor Championships Saturday

Bronchos Have 10 Competing In 13 Events Over Two Days In Maryville

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Oklahoma begins the 2024 MIAA Women's Track & Field Championship Saturday at Northwest Missouri's Hughes Fieldhouse.

UCO is sending 10 individuals to compete for titles in 13 events this weekend.

The championships begin with multis Friday. Central will get started at 2:15 p.m. Saturday with the hammer throw. Dahsauni Lyday is scheduled to compete in that event. Lauren Wilson will also throw in the discus Saturday.

Kelsey Drapeau, who will compete in the long jump, and Mattison Thetford, who will compete in the pole vault, will round out the field athletes. Lyday will also return Sunday for the shot put.

Deriayah Lee is competing in both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles on Saturday afternoon. Treasure Vallerie is scheduled to compete in both the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Sai Brookins-Fleming will join her in the 200 and after running the 100-meter dash Saturday. Genevieve Young rounds out the Saturday runners with the 800.

UCO has both a 4x100 and a 4x400 relay team set to race Sunday.

Mikayla Stephenson, Vallerie, Brookins-Fleming, Kerrigan Huynh, and Drapeau are listed for the 4x100 lineup. Vallerie, Brookins-Fleming, Huynh, Young, and Lee are listed for the 4x400.
