Bronchos Visit Mean Green Invitational

Central Oklahoma Continues Texas Tour In Denton This Weekend

DENTON, Texas – Central Oklahoma continues its Outdoor season tour of Texas this weekend with North Texas' Mean Green Invitational Saturday.

Jakayla Swanson, Mikayla Stephenson, and Karly Clemons will compete in the 100-meter dash with prelims starting at 11:30 a.m.

Treasure Vallerie, Sai Brookins-Fleming, Kerrigan Huynh, and Reta Ojene will all compete in the 400-meter race Saturday afternoon.

Genevieve Young is the lone Broncho competing in the 800 this weekend. Noel Buckhaults and Kylee Smith will also compete in the 1,500- and the 5,000-meter races.

Deriayah Lee is Central's lone hurdler and will compete in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles Saturday.

UCO will also have a 4x100 relay team running comprised of Swanson, Vallerie, Huynh, and Brookins-Fleming.

Talyn Been and Mattison Thetford are scheduled to compete in the pole vault Saturday afternoon. Kelsey Drapeau will compete in the long jump Saturday morning.

Throwers Dahsauni Lyday and Abigail Kelly will compete in the shot put Saturday at noon. Kelly and Lauren Wilson will both compete in the discus throw, and Lyday and Wilson will both compete in the hammer throw.

Central Oklahoma will compete in its home state for the final two meets of the regular season later this month. The Bronchos are heading to OU for the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman and will also go to OBU for the Ford Mastin Twilight in Shawnee.

The 2024 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for May 3-5 in Maryville, Missouri.
