Bronchos Extend Lead In Votes From CRCA As Postseason Draws Near

WILMINGTON, Del. – Central Oklahoma solidified its position as the No. 1 team in the country this week as the College Rowing Coaches Association announced its latest rankings Wednesday.

UCO won both the Varsity 4+ and Varsity 8+ titles this past weekend at the Knecht Cup Regatta in New Jersey, racing past all Division II schools including five of the top nine teams in country.

The Bronchos earned 194 points in the rankings this week, almost 50 points in front of second place Embry-Riddle (145). ERAU jumped from fifth in the rankings to second after a strong showing in New Jersey.

Cal Poly Humboldt, Seattle Pacific, and Mercyhurst round out the top five. Western Washington, Rollins, and Barry are also ranked. And Thomas Jefferson and Nova Southeastern are receiving votes.

UCO is off for two weeks as the Bronchos prep for the postseason. Central Oklahoma will race OU on Saturday, May 4 in Oklahoma City.
