UCO Inches Up Leaderboard At MIAA Championship

Bronchos Are Seventh After Two Rounds In Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma battled through delays and tough conditions, returning closer to form, and inched back up the team leaderboard Tuesday at the MIAA Men's Golf Championships at Shoal Creek.

UCO is in seventh place in the team standings after shooting a 25-over-par 309 during Tuesday's second round. The Bronchos are at 617 for the tournament. Central Missouri leads the 10-team field with a 594 (288-306).

The final round is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

He sank four more par putts on the back nine, along with birdies on 12 and 15 (both par 4s), to finish 1-over on the back and 6-over on the day.

Canales birdied the Par 4 12th to get back to even and birdied the Par 4 15th to move to 1-under for the back nine, before a bogey on 16 pulled back to even.

Dylan Henderson, who shot a 12-over-par 83 on Monday, came back Tuesday with much cleaner 6-over 77. The junior from Canada played the front nine 3-over with six par putts.
