UCO Finishes Ninth In Georgia

EATONTON, Ga. – Central Oklahoma only played one half of a round on Monday, finished it Tuesday, then wrapped up the 36-hole Bobcat Invitational in ninth place by the end of two long days at Cuscowilla Golf Club.
 
After weather forced a delay Monday morning, the teams finally took the course near noon, but rain returned and teams were called back to the clubhouse shortly after to pause for the day. The Bronchos were in the top five in the team standings early in the tournament.
 
Teams completed the first round Tuesday morning and then played the second round in the afternoon.
 
Georgia Southwestern won the team title with a 36-hole 563 after two trips around the 6,730-yard Par 70 course. USC Aiken and Grand Valley State tied for second at 569. Eckerd (576) and West Florida (577) rounded out the top five.
 
UCO posted a 584 in the tournament, starting with a 288 in the first round before posting a 296 in the second round.
 
Karsten Paciotti led Central Oklahoma's charge, finishing 12th on the individual leaderboard. The senior from Katy, Texas shot a 4-over-par 144. He posted an even-par 70 through the two-day first round and then a 4-over 74 in the second round.
 
Ty Hyatt turned in a Top 20 performance, finishing 19th with a 5-over 145. The sophomore from Stillwater also shot an even-par 70 in the first round before a 5-over 75 on Tuesday.
 
Nick Canales finished 30th with a 7-over-par 147, posting rounds of 72 and 75 this week. Baylor Bostick finished 37th with a 148 (76-72) and Brock Jerman finished 52nd with a 151 (76-75).
 
Central Oklahoma has two more tournaments in the 2025-26 regular season. The Bronchos will play at Pittsburg State's Silverback Invitational March 30-31 and Washburn's Firekeeper Invitationals April 6-7.
 
The 2026 MIAA Men's Golf Championships are scheduled for April 13-15 in Jefferson City, Missouri with regionals and nationals scheduled in May.
