Central Oklahoma Wraps Up Fall Schedule Monday In Maryville

Bronchos Take On Northwest Missouri's Midwest Classic At Mozingo Lake

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Oklahoma closes the fall portion of its schedule this week when the Bronchos take on Northwest Missouri's Midwest Classic at Mozingo Lake Golf Course.

The 36-hole tournament is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The Par 72 course plays 5,825 yards. The first round will start with tee times, and Central Oklahoma's five begin at 10:03 a.m. and continue every nine minutes off the No. 1 tee box.

Jirasuda Khunarak, Estela Castillo, Scarlet Sturch, Layne Ailshie, and Josey Cavitt make up the lineup for the Bronchos. The same crew took on the regional preview last week in Edmond.

Khunarak has led Central Oklahoma through the first three tournaments of the season. The senior from Thailand has a 75.4 scoring average after seven rounds of golf. She finished the regional preview last week with a season-low 2-over-par 72.

Sturch also lowered her scoring average at the regional preview. The sophomore from Durant, Oklahoma has a 76.5 mark through seven rounds of golf. Her 4-over 74 on Monday last week is a season low.

Castillo and Sturch had matching scoring averages heading into the regional preview and were only separated by one stroke there. Castillo, a sophomore from Spain, is at 76.7 through seven rounds this season. Her 3-over 73 last Tuesday is a season low.

Ailshie played in two of the first three tournaments and the freshman from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma has an 80.8 scoring average with five rounds of golf played. Josey Cavitt made her collegiate debut last week and posted rounds of 80 & 79 in her first two trips around a course this season.

UCO will break for the winter following this week's tournament in Maryville. Central Oklahoma returns in February, hosting the Southern Invite in Spring, Texas just north of Houston.
