Tennis Begins Fall Slate In Tahlequah

Central Oklahoma Took On Northeastern State, Emporia State, and Dallas Baptist

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Central Oklahoma opened its fall schedule with a two-day event at Northeastern State, taking on the host Riverhawks, Emporia State, and Dallas Baptist in the Rumble by the River Friday and Saturday.

The Bronchos are playing two fall events. UCO visits UT-Tyler this weekend. Central Oklahoma will wrap up its non-championship portion of the schedule with the ITA Regionals in Edmond next month.

This weekend, UCO got started with doubles matches against Northeastern State and singles matches against Dallas Baptist and Emporia State on Friday. The Bronchos took two of three doubles against NSU, and 4 of 7 singles matches against ESU. Dallas Baptist took 5 of 7 singles matches in that portion of the afternoon.

Saturday, the schedules flipped. The Bronchos dropped all three doubles matches with DBU before taking 2 of 3 against Emporia. In Saturday's singles competition, the Bronchos split 3 of 6 contests with the host Riverhawks.

Central Oklahoma will head to UT-Tyler this weekend for another weekend full of competition in Texas. The Bronchos will then turn attention to the ITA Central Regional Sept. 22-24 at Edmond Center Court.
