Grace Chadick Named UCO Tennis Coach

Former Broncho Returns To Lead Program

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma Vice President for Athletics Stan Wagnon announced Wednesday the appointment of Grace Chadick as head women's tennis coach.

"It's a blessing to welcome Grace back to the Broncho family," Wagnon said. "She has an appreciation for and understanding of what makes the UCO Tennis program special, and she's eager to build upon the foundation of the coaches who have gone before her. I'm looking forward to watching her develop our students as tennis players and young women, and also to strengthen the community ties and support for the program."

Chadick played for Central Oklahoma as a freshman during the 2021-22 season. She helped lead the Bronchos to the best season in school history. UCO went 24-2 and finished as NCAA Division II Women's Tennis national runner-up. The Plainfield, Illinois native went 17-6 that season and was named First Team All-MIAA.

Following her freshman season, Chadick went to the University of South Dakota and finished her career there in 2024. In three seasons, she won 57 matches, including 22 during her senior season when she was named First Team All-Summit League. Chadick ranks fifth in USD's all-time wins and sixth on the single season wins list.

Chadick got into coaching following her collegiate career, assisting with the tennis program at Lamar last season. She inherits eight returning players on a nine-person roster for the 2026-27 season.

Central Oklahoma's tennis program has been a dominant force in recent years. The Bronchos won the MIAA regular season title in 2021, 2022, and 2026, while winning the MIAA postseason tournament championship in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2025. UCO has been to the national tournament in 9 of 10 previous seasons.
