Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

UCO Garners Team Award, 10 Student-Athletes Recognized

TEMPE, Ariz. – Central Oklahoma was awarded the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team award and 10 student-athletes in the program were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, it was announced Tuesday.

Teams with a combined 3.2 grade point average or higher were honored. The ITA recognized 95 Division II women's tennis programs. Individuals with a 3.5 GPA or higher were named Scholar-Athletes. The ITA honored more than 600 nationwide.

Marina Becaro, Milana Quick, Ayaka Koga, Mei Hasegawa, Haley Hibbets, Pete Komada, Anika Ouwejan, Hui Soo, Brylee Toney, and Karyna Yurchenko were each recognized for the work in the classroom and were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Central Oklahoma went 18-4 in 2026, winning the MIAA regular season title and the MIAA postseason tournament championship. The Bronchos qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship for the fourth time in five years.
