Seven Rowers Earn Academic Honors

The College Rowing Coaches Association announced Friday its 2022-23 Scholar Athlete awards and seven from the University of Central Oklahoma made the list.

Faith Brooks, Hope Brooks, Kenna Chamlee, Kylie Eagan, Danielle Holle, Caleah Oliver, and Emily Overholt were all named CRCA Scholar Athletes for their work in the classroom this past year. To be eligible, students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average in at least their second year of eligibility and compete in 75 percent of their teams spring races.

Each of these UCO student-athletes also earned GNAC academic awards and Faith Brooks, Chamlee and Overholt were also named All-Americans following this season. Central Oklahoma finished the 2022-23 season NCAA Division II national runners-up.
