UCO's 25th Soccer Season Kicks Off In August

Central Oklahoma Will Play 18 Games This Fall, Including 10 Home Contests At Tom Thompson Field

EDMOND – UCO announced its 2023 soccer schedule Monday with the Bronchos kicking off their 25th season with 18 games this fall.

Central Oklahoma will begin the new year Aug. 31 in San Angelo, Texas before the 2023 home opener on Sept. 2 at Tom Thompson Soccer Field in Edmond.
 
The Bronchos will play 18 regular season games this fall, including 10 at home. The Bronchos will play 11 MIAA matches, with six of those at home.
 
Central Oklahoma's non-conference slate includes the opener at Angelo State, and three home games against Midwestern State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma Baptist. UCO will also play MIAA rivals Newman, Northeastern State, and Rogers State in non-conference matches before opening the official MIAA run on Sept. 24.
 
UCO began women's soccer in 1998 and has been one of the traditional contenders in Division II over the last 24 seasons. Head coach Mike Cook started the program in 1998 and the Bronchos have a 347-129-40 all-time record. Central Oklahoma has made 15 NCAA national tournament appearances in 24 seasons and the Bronchos have seven conference championships.
