In his second year with the Bronchos, he is now a two-time member of the league's Gold Glove Team, honored for stellar defensive play. Olson earned Honorable Mention All-MIAA in 2022.

"We're proud of the guys for being recognized for their hard work," UCO head baseball coach John Martin said. "All the work they put in back in the fall, and day-to-day this season, they deserve the recognition. We're happy for them."

Olson is hitting .345 this season and leads the Bronchos in several categories. His 47 runs scored and 12 home runs are the most on the team. His 58 hits, 14 doubles, three triples, and 47 RBIs are all the second most on the team. Defensively, Olson has 106 putouts and two assists with no errors in right field.

He moved into a designated hitter role after playing some time at shortstop early in the season and thrived, hitting .311 with 46 hits.
