UCO Earns At-Large Bid To NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – Central Oklahoma received an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship it was announced Monday night.
 
Central Oklahoma drew the No. 4 seed in the Central Region and the Bronchos will face No. 5 seed Missouri Western in the first round of the 48-team tournament Monday, May 1 at 1 p.m.

UCO is 10-10 this season and has been ranked in the Top 30 in the ITA all year long. The Bronchos went 10-9 during the regular season and 5-3 in the MIAA. Central Oklahoma dropped its MIAA postseason tournament opener last weekend in Edmond.
 
Missouri Western has a 13-6 overall record this season and also went 5-3 in the MIAA. The Bronchos beat the Griffons from St. Joseph, Missouri 5-2 earlier this season in Edmond.
 
Northwest Missouri earned the No. 1 seed in the Central Region and is hosting the three-team sub-regional in Maryville, Missouri May 1-2. The Bearcats will play the winner of UCO/MWSU on May 2 at 1 p.m. The team advancing out of the regional will head to Orlando, Florida for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship Round of 16 May 11-16.
