Central Oklahoma has put together two weekends of dominant racing over the last three weeks, climbing from No. 6 to the top spot as a result. This past weekend, the Bronchos went to Camden, New Jersey to take on the Knecht Cup Regatta and UCO's Varsity 4+ boat earned a gold medal while the Varsity 8+ took silver.

Central Oklahoma's top two boats had the fastest times of three heat races on Saturday to advance to the Grand Finals. The fours had the fastest time again on Sunday to win first place and the eights had the second fastest time, a meager 0.53 seconds behind the first-place finisher.

In addition to the rowing coaches' poll, the NCAA also announced its regional rankings for the first time this spring, and Central Oklahoma was of course, No. 1 in that list too. UCO's V8+ and V4+ boats are listed first in the West Region, along with the team sitting atop the rankings.

UCO is off this weekend as the team prepares for the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships in Sacramento, California April 29-30.
