OKLAHOMA CITY – Central Oklahoma opened the Spring season Saturday morning on the Oklahoma River with two rounds of strong non-divisional competition.
UCO raced four times and finished fourth in each race against Tulsa, OU, and Kansas State. The Bronchos took to the water in the Varsity 8+ boat first and posted a 7:30.00 time on the 2,000-meter course. Central Oklahoma finished fourth in the Varsity 4+ with a time of 8:27.30.
In Round 2 of racing, UCO's eights finished in 7:29.8 almost replication the performance from earlier in the morning. The second V4+ raced the final track of the day and finished in 8:18.60.
Central Oklahoma is home for all of March, with events each of the next two weekends at the UCO Boathouse in Oklahoma City. The Bronchos race Creighton next Saturday and will host Kansas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State, Wichita State, Texas Christian, and Texas' club squad in another multi-round affair on March 18.
