She threw 46.19 meters in the discus, which eclipsed the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 45.90. That earned her a runner-up finish in the MIAA and eight team points for UCO.

Lyday, a sophomore from Wagoner, Oklahoma, also finished third in the shot put with a 13.71-meter heave to again earn a spot on the podium and six more team points.

She competed in one more event – the hammer throw – and finished 11th with a 44.45-meter toss.

Lyday's discus throw is No. 25 in the country this season. Her shot put mark is just outside the top 30 nationally.

Ansley Scott had a big weekend as well for the Bronchos. She started with a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash prelims, setting an NCAA Division II provisional mark with 24.23 seconds and qualifying her for the finals on Sunday. She would finish sixth in the championship race with a time of 24.44 seconds.

Scott earned three team points for UCO in both races. She was also the lead runner in Central's 4x100 relay team that took a 10th place finish with a time of 48.83 seconds.

Scott's times this weekend leave her 31st nationally in the 400 and 38th nationally in the 200 in this her first season of collegiate competition.

Harlie Hanson just missed scoring points for the Bronchos in the 10,000 meters this weekend. She finished ninth in the race with a time of 38:24.21.

UCO's 4x100 relay team, kickstarted by Scott, was the only other top 10 performance for the Bronchos this weekend. UCO finished 11th in the team standings with 20 team points. Pittsburg State won the championship with 145 points.
