UCO Adds Two For '22

EDMOND – The UCO soccer team announced a pair of additions to its roster for the 2022 season.

Central Oklahoma announced Amaya Grace, a transfer who arrived earlier this Spring, and Lauren Piper, a high schooler set to arrive ahead of the Fall.

Grace is from Texas and spent two seasons at Seminole State College in Oklahoma. She spent last Fall at North Texas and then came to UCO in January, helping the Bronchos through Spring practices and scrimmages.

Piper is also from Texas and is a prep standout that will compete for time in 2022.

Lauren Piper: Midfielder | Rockwall, Texas
What the coaches say:
A very solid midfielder who can play either side of the field and is good at serving balls into the box in dangerous areas. Lauren will definitely help add depth to the outside mid position.

Amaya Grace: Forward | Little Elm, Texas
What the coaches say: A transfer from North Texas who spent two years at Seminole Junior College. Amaya is a natural goal scorer and brings some valuable experience up front.

Central Oklahoma is scheduled to begin its 2022 season this September. UCO has played 23 seasons since head coach Mike Cook started the program 24 years ago (no 2020 season due to pandemic). The Bronchos have amassed a 336-124-36 record since 1998.

Central has claim to seven conference championships and 14 national tournament appearances, including the latest in 2021.
