Central Oklahoma took over the No. 1 spot in the country April 4, 2018 and held that position through April 13, 2022. The Bronchos won three consecutive national championships in between those two dates.

Mercyhurst, last season's national runners-up behind Central Oklahoma, is the new No. 1 team and received all five first-place votes in this week's poll.

Central Oklahoma is preparing to compete in the SIRA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee this weekend. The Bronchos will then turn their attention to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships May 14 in Dexter, Oregon. A win there will give Central an automatic qualifier back to the NCAA Division II Women's Rowing National Championships May 27-29 in Sarasota, Florida.
