Eva-Louisa Eschbach Named CRCA Athlete To Watch

UCO Sophomore Among 14 Division II Rowers Named To Preseason Watchlist

EDMOND – University of Central Oklahoma women's rowing standout Eva-Louisa Eschbach has been selected as a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Athlete to Watch, recognizing her as one of the top student-athletes to follow during the upcoming season.

Eschbach was nominated in recognition of her tenacious commitment to the sport, her willingness to embrace the uncomfortable and often unglamorous work required for sustained excellence, and her unwavering leadership within the Bronchos program.

"Eva-Louisa embodies everything we value in this program," said first-year head coach Luke Reynolds. "She is relentlessly committed to improvement, never shortcuts the work, and consistently chooses the hard, often unseen path that leads to real progress. More than that, she consistently steps up as a leader – setting the tone, holding the standard, and elevating the people around her every single day."

A key contributor both on and off the water, Eschbach's recognition by the CRCA reflects not only her competitive ability, but also her impact on team culture and performance. Her selection as an Athlete to Watch places her among an elite group of rowers nationally entering the championship season.

The CRCA Athlete to Watch designation highlights student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership, and competitive promise within collegiate rowing.

Central Oklahoma begins the 2026 season March 14 in Oklahoma City. UCO was recently tabbed No. 5 in the CRCA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
