No. 1 Central Oklahoma Hosts KU, Seattle Pacific

OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 1 Central Oklahoma is back on the water this weekend for a mix of competition on the Oklahoma River.
 
Central Oklahoma welcomes Kansas and Seattle Pacific to OKC for 2k racing. The Bronchos are ranked No. 1 in the country in NCAA Division II and SPU is ranked sixth. Both squads also compete in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
 
Action gets underway at 9 a.m. Saturday on the Oklahoma River. The first race scheduled is Novice 4+ and will feature two boats from Central and one from SPU.
 
A pair of highlight races will follow. The Varsity 8+ race is scheduled for 9:20 a.m. and will feature all three schools. KU will also have a second V8+ boat in the group. Then the Varsity 4+ race is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. and will feature the same four-boat lineup with all three schools and a second KU boat.
 
Another race of fours will follow at 10 a.m. and will only feature Central Oklahoma and Seattle Pacific's 2V4+ boats.
 
Those four races will wrap up Flight 1 and Kansas's day on the water. The squads from Central and SPU will return for Flight 2 at 11:30 a.m.
 
Another V8+ race is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., another V4+ race is scheduled for 11:50 a.m., and another 2V8+ race is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
 
A final race is also slated for 1:15 p.m. and will feature the Novice 8+ boats from UCO and Seattle Pacific.
 
Central Oklahoma has one more home date on the schedule this season. The Bronchos will welcome Wichita State and Oklahoma State to OKC next Saturday, April 2.
 
UCO is scheduled to make the trip to Tennessee for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships April 15-16 before taking on the GNAC Championships in Oregon May 14. The 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Rowing Championships are scheduled for the last weekend in May in Sarasota, Fla.
