Central Hosts Oklahoma Christian In Spring Soccer Matchup

EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma soccer team will continue its spring season Saturday when the Bronchos welcome Oklahoma Christian to Tom Thompson Field.
 
UCO, playing an abbreviated spring season following the cancellation of its tradition fall season, split a pair of games last weekend. The Bronchos welcome the Eagles of Oklahoma City, who are 0-3 this spring.
 
"We are just glad to be playing," UCO head women's soccer coach Mike Cook said. "We learned a lot last week in playing a tough OU team and we played a lot better against Midwestern State. Hopefully we'll continue to improve this week."
 
In an exhibition with OU, Central was downed 6-0. The Bronchos responded with a 1-0 victory over Midwestern State.
 
Emily Tincher, a freshman from Edmond, Oklahoma, scored the lone goal in the win last week.
 
Central Oklahoma is scheduled to play another home game next Saturday, taking on Emporia State in the first of eight MIAA matchups this Spring.
