Central Visits Fort Hays State

HAYS, Kan. – The University of Central Oklahoma soccer team will open its conference schedule Thursday with a trip to Fort Hays State. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Central Oklahoma is playing a modified spring season following the cancellation of its tradition fall season. Six MIAA games are on the schedule for the Bronchos, who have already played in five non-conference games.

UCO is 3-1-1 this spring while FHSU is 1-1-1.

Taryn Kedzior leads Central Oklahoma with three goals scored this season. She scored once in three consecutive games leading up to Central's 1-1 draw at Southwestern earlier this week.

Monika McGee has two goals for the Bronchos through five games played this season. She scored in UCO's win over Oklahoma Christian and in the win over Washburn.

Emily Tincher (Midwestern State), Kaylee Collins (Oklahoma Christian), and Kelsie Eason (Southwestern) each have scored once this season.

Central Oklahoma has an 8-4-1 all-time record against Fort Hays State, including knocking the Tigers out of the MIAA Tournament in 2019 as UCO went on to win the league championship.

UCO will also play at home later this weekend. The Bronchos return home following Fort Hays State's matchup and will host Newman Saturday at 5 p.m. at Tom Thompson Field.
