Taryn Kedzior Named CoSIDA All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – University of Central Oklahoma soccer standout Taryn Kedzior earned a second major honor in as many days Thursday when she was named CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Kedzior was named Second Team All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association on Wednesday. Thursday's announcement carries similar weight but combines the best of the on-field student-athletes with the best academics.

Kedzior is a 4.0 student majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She is pre-med and looks forward to attending med school after graduating from Central.

On the field she is one of the best for the Bronchos.

Kedzior earned All-American honors after a standout season in which she led the Bronchos back to the national tournament for the third time in her four-year career. The one season UCO didn't go to the postseason with Kedzior on the squad was 2020, when there was no season.

Kedzior posted seven goals and had four assists this season in leading Central to a 13-5-3 record.

She scored 15 goals in her career and had 12 assists. Kedzior was named MIAA Freshman of the Year in 2018 when she earned All-MIAA and All-Region honors. She earned All-MIAA honors again in 2019. She was named MIAA Defender of the Year in 2021 when she also earned All-MIAA and All-Region honors.
