"We had a good day for our first meet of the year," UCO head women's track & field coach Dr. Martha Brennan said. "We didn't take a full squad, but the girls that were ready and did go learned some things and got to see where we need to be at when we come back in the Spring semester."

Scott, a true freshman from Oklahoma City, raced to a fifth-place finish in the 300 with a time of 40.23 seconds. She was only 1.5 seconds off the first runner to cross the finish line. Scott also raced to a 10th-place showing in the 60-meter dash. She finished in 7.76 seconds, only 0.26 seconds off the top finisher and just 0.09 seconds off an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
