Taryn Kedzior Earns Another Weekly Honor

Broncho Standout Is Offensive Player of the Week After Earning Defensive Award Last Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second week in a row, University of Central Oklahoma junior Taryn Kedzior has earned Player of the Week honors from the MIAA, the league announced Tuesday.

Kedzior was named Defensive Player of the Week last Tuesday. This week, she's the Offensive Player of the Week.
 
"Taryn is a great team player and does so much for us," UCO associate head soccer coach Amel Muhamedagic said. "She's truly a left back but plays up higher for us a lot because of her ability to get the offense going. She's dangerous anywhere on the field. We're really happy for her to win another award this week."
 
From Claremore, Oklahoma, Kedzior scored three goals last week for the Bronchos. UCO went to Northwest Missouri and Kedzior scored in the 25th minute to put the Bronchos ahead 1-0. Central did ultimately lose that match though, 2-1, in double overtime.
 
Sunday, Kedzior was back at it. Playing at Missouri Western, Kedzior scored both of Central's goals in a 2-0 win over the Griffons.
 
She has seven goals and two assists in 16 games this season. She's taken a team-high 42 shots and has put 25 of those on goal. Kedzior has four game-winning goals this season.
 
Central Oklahoma is 11-4-1 this season overall and has a 7-2-0 record in MIAA play. The Bronchos are currently third in the league standings with two games left this weekend, but UCO is only three points back of first place.
 
Central hosts Rogers State – of Kedzior's hometown Claremore – on Sunday afternoon after the Bronchos host Newman Friday night. The MIAA Championship is scheduled to begin Sunday, Nov. 7 with the top four seeds in the eight-team tournament hosting their respective quarterfinal match.
