Seven Women's Golf Student-Athletes Earn League Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced Wednesday its postseason academic awards for women's golf and the University of Central Oklahoma had seven student-athletes – the entire roster – recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom.

Kinsley Hall, Madison O'Dell, Susana Olivares, Sydney Roberts, Emma Shelley, Faith Stewart, and Arin Zachary were all selected to the MIAA Honor Roll for maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average during the 2019-20 academic year.

Student-athletes must have a 3.0 GPA to make the MIAA Honor Roll and a 3.5 GPA and an All-MIAA selection to earn the Scholar Athlete Award. The latter of which was not given out this year due to no All-MIAA selections for spring sports following the cancellation of all sports in March due to the global health crisis.

Student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA were also given the MIAA's Academic Excellence award and a trio of Bronchos earned that honor. O'Dell, Olivares, and Stewart each carried a perfect GPA last year.

The MIAA honored 44 student-athletes in women's golf.
