Trio of Bronchos Earn All-MIAA Honors

Central Oklahoma Freshman Grace Hall Named First Team, Layne Ailshie Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma had three players earn All-MIAA honors, the league announced Monday prior to the 2026 MIAA Women's Golf Championships.
 
Grace Hall was named First Team All-MIAA, Layne Ailshie earned Third Team All-MIAA honors, and Estela Castillo was named Honorable Mention.
 
A freshman from Austin, Texas, Hall leads UCO with a 74.6 scoring average this season. In nine events, 23 rounds of golf, Hall has five rounds of par or better and two rounds in the 60s. Her third-place finish in the Regional Preview at St. Joseph Country Club during the fall is a season best.
 
Ailshie, a sophomore from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, has a 75.8 scoring average through nine events. She has two rounds of par or better this season with one round in the 60s. Her 3-under-par 69 helped her to a runner-up finish at Shangri-La earlier this month.
 
Castillo has a 76.5 scoring average this season. A junior from Spain, Castillo has three rounds of par or better this season with a low of 71. Her runner-up finish at UCO's Southern Invite in Houston this February is a career best.
 
Central Oklahoma began the MIAA Women's Golf Championships Monday in Warrensburg, Missouri at UCM's Mules National. The Bronchos are in third place after the first round of play. Hall is tied for sixth individually, Ailshie is tied for 18th, and Castillo is 30th with two rounds remaining.
