EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma soccer team announced its 2020 spring schedule this week, with the Bronchos set to play nine exhibition contests against a bevy of in-state competition.
The Bronchos will play games in Edmond, Stillwater, Tulsa, and Shawnee. UCO will play three home contests this spring.
Central kicks it off with a matchup against Rose State College on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in Edmond. UCO will head to Tulsa for a doubleheader the following weekend, taking on Oral Roberts and Seminole State College at ORU on Saturday, Feb. 29.
The Bronchos will continue the doubleheader trend in early March, playing at Oklahoma State on March 7 at noon before returning home for a matchup against Tulsa Soccer Club in Edmond at 5 p.m.
On March 28, Central will do the same, taking on Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee at 10 a.m. before facing Oklahoma Wesleyan at 5 p.m. in Edmond.
And to close out the spring, the Bronhcos will visit Tulsa once again, playing TU at 11 a.m. on April 4. Central will also take on Midwestern State at TU at 5 p.m. on the same day.
Central Oklahoma heads into the 2020 season this fall with 20 returning letter winners before factoring in a stellar recruiting class. UCO won the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular season title in 2018 and the postseason tournament championship in both 2018 and 2019. The Bronchos, in 22 seasons, have won 323 games.
