Tennis Earns All-Academic Honor From ITA

TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Central Oklahoma tennis team was recognized Thursday as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, which released its annual awards. The ITA also recognized five individuals at UCO with Scholar Athlete awards.

Central Oklahoma earned the award thanks to a stellar cumulative grade point average. Teams must have at least a 3.20 combined. Individuals must have a 3.50 GPA.

Kirtana Bhat, Sarah Van Eeckhoudt, and Alix Williams, as well as Nikki Boyar and Jessica Le, each earned the individual honor for their work in the classroom.

The five Bronchos helped UCO to the NCAA Division II national championship round of 16 this season following a finals win at the MIAA Postseason Tournament and the NCAA Central Region I tournament.
