Central Announces 2019 Soccer Schedule

EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma soccer team announced Monday its 2019 schedule, with 18 games on the docket for this fall.

Central Oklahoma opens the newest season of Broncho soccer Thursday, Sept. 5 with a 1 p.m. matchup against Dallas Baptist at Tom Thompson Field.

The Bronchos will play their first four games at home and will play nine of the first 10 at Tom Thompson Field. UCO has 11 home games scheduled for the 18-game slate.

Central hits the road for the first time to take on Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Okla. on Friday, Sept. 20.

UCO will open Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play against NSU a week later, taking on Northeastern in Edmond on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The Bronchos will play 11 MIAA games this season.

UCO won the 2018 MIAA regular season title as well as the MIAA Postseason Tournament Championship. The Bronchos went 22-2 last season, setting numerous records as it reached the NCAA Tournament Central Region Championship game. The Bronchos produced nine All-MIAA award winners and nine All-Region honorees before taking three All-American honors as well.

Central Oklahoma has played 21 seasons of soccer in NCAA Division II and has an all-time record of 309-114-30.
