Central Trio Named To All-Region Team

The University of Central Oklahoma had three players selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Region teams, it was announced Wednesday.

Kelsey Gordon and Kelsie Eason were both named First Team All-Region and Asha Haile was named Second Team All-Region.

Gordon, who earned the same honor last season and in 2016, led another strong defensive effort for the Bronchos this season. The center back helped UCO to seven shutouts and a third appearance in the NCAA Tournament in four years.

Eason has led the team in goals this season with 17 goals. The junior, who also earned All-Region honors last season, also had nine assists. She ranks among the national leaders in goals, assists, and total points.

Haile was second behind Eason in goals scored this season with 12 and she led the team 11 assists.

Central Oklahoma is preparing for the NCAA Tournament. The Bronchos are in Mankato, Minn. to take on Augustana (S.D.) in the first round Friday at 1 p.m.
