Bronchos Ink Nine For 2020 Roster

EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma soccer team put together a big, stellar class of newcomers this week as nine future Bronchos signed national letters of intent to play at UCO next fall.

"We are very excited about this recruiting class," UCO head soccer coach Mike Cook said. "We feel it is a talented class with a good mixture of in-state talent as well as several talented players from bordering states within the region. We definitely feel they will help bolster an already strong returning roster."

Central Oklahoma signed nine players, five from the state of Oklahoma, three from Kansas and one from Texas.

Lanie Whitehill, Shawnee, Kan., Mill Valley High School, Sporting BV DA
Cook says: A solid defender who reads the game well and can help playing out of the back.

Rachel Oberman, Katy, Texas, Seven Lakes High School, Albion Hurricanes ECNL
Cook says: A versatile fullback with great presence in the air on the back line.

Kylee Wickersham, Mustang, Okla., Mustang High School, Oklahoma Celtic ECNL
Cook says: An around player who can play several positions with good defensive presence.

Kennedy Ash, Overland Park, Kan., Shawnee Mission South High School, Puma FC
Cook says: An athletic attacking player who will definitely contribute to our attack next year.

Emily Tincher, Edmond, Okla., Deer Creek High School, OEFC Oklahoma
Cook says: A technical midfielder who will fit into an already solid midfield.

Chaning Jones, Oklahoma City, Okla., Westmoore High School, Oklahoma Celtic ECNL
Cook says: A very athletic player who will be looked at in several different attacking positions.

Cook says: Defensive minded player who could see some action both at fullback and in the midfield.

Cook says: Another solid defender who is capable of playing any position on the back line.

Cook says: An offensive minded player who could help on the outside midfield and possibly upfront.
