Central Oklahoma Set For Tulsa Invite

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Central Oklahoma rowing team will make its second, and last, fall appearance Saturday when the Bronchos take to the water in the Tulsa Invite.

Central Oklahoma will race against the Tulsa Hurricane, Southern Methodist, and Kansas, in the fall finale.

Racing will begin Saturday at 8:45 a.m. with the Varsity 8+. Central will have two boats in competing, with Madisyn Kitchell leading the way in the first boat and Josephine Boschert leading the second boat.

A Novice 4+ will follow at 9:15 a.m. and Central will have a pair of boats competing there as well. Lexi Mathena will lead the N4A for the Bronchos while Evelyn Withington will lead the N4B.

Central Oklahoma won't race competitively again until its spring championship season. The Bronchos have been ranked No. 1 in the country for nearly three years, have won three consecutive V8+ national titles and two straight NCAA team national championships. The V4+ boat also won a national title last season.
