Central Finishes MIAA Indoor Championships 11th

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The University of Central Oklahoma track & field team finished 11th at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Indoor Championships Sunday, coming home with 18 team points in the three-day event.

Maddie Brown and Katie Cease earned seven more team points on the final day Sunday, adding to a weekend of highlights for the Bronchos.

Brown finished seventh in the 1-mile run, crossing the finish line in 5:12.55. The senior scored two points for the Bronchos in the race.

Cease, who set a school record in Saturday's preliminaries, running the 800-meters in 2:17.37, finished fourth in Sunday's finals with a near identical time. She ran the 800 Sunday in 2:17.45 to score five team points for the Bronchos.
