Baseball Golf Tourney Slated

EDMOND (July 22) -- The annual Central Oklahoma Baseball Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Friday, Sept. 19 at Silverhorn Golf Club in Oklahoma City.

Entry fee is $125 per player, which includes green fee, range balls, cart, lunch before the tourney and dinner after, a UCO hat, koozie and door prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $110.

The four-person scramble tournament will have a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. at Silverhorn, located at 11411 N. Kelly Avenue. Prizes will be given to winning teams, with Long Drive and Closest-to-the-Pin contests also held.

"This has turned into a great event and pretty much funds a lot of our needs the players deserve," UCO coach Dax Leone said. "It's always good to see all the former players and alumni who have built UCO baseball over the years. It's hard to believe that we are starting our fifth year already and we feel good about the direction we have the program going. This golf tournament is a vital part of our current success to ensure these young men understand to expectations we all have for UCO baseball"
