OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 29) – Central Oklahoma's offensive woes continued Tuesday night as the Bronchos dropped a 5-2 road decision to Oklahoma Christian in the final regular season game before opening play in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Post-season Tournament later this week.

The Bronchos mustered just six hits, four of which came after two outs were made in the inning, in losing their fourth straight.  UCO did draw six walks, including three in the second inning, but only scored one in the inning on an RBI groundout by Wacey Henderson.

The Bronchos got a run-scoring single from Dilon Argo in the top of the fifth to cut the deficit to 3-2, but the Eagles scored an unearned run in the bottom of the fifth.

The only inning UCO got a hit before two outs came in the seventh when Dylan Raper led off with a single. He was promptly picked off by the catcher, which cost the Bronchos a chance to score as Phillip Wilson followed with a double.

The Bronchos used six pitchers in the mid-week tuneup. Joe Hollowell started the game and allowed a pair of runs in the first inning, and the Bronchos were never able to overcome the deficit.

UCO, now 34-15 on the season, will host Nebraska-Kearney in the opening round of the MIAA Tournament, with game one of that best-of-three series set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Wendell Simmons Field.
