EDMOND (March 30) –
Tyler Crabtree hit for the cycle in four consecutive at bats and Central Oklahoma had 13 extra base hits in routing intrastate rival Northeastern State, 20-3, on a windy Sunday afternoon at Wendell Simmons Field.

Crabtree homered in the second inning, doubled in third and singled in the fourth. Needing a triple to complete the cycle, the senior outfielder pulled one into the left field corner and turned on the speed  to easily make it to third to finish a 4-for-5, five-RBI afternoon.

"We're really proud of our players," head coach Dax Leone said. "We played well all weekend.  Northeastern is a well-coached team and for us to win the way we did says a lot about our players and our execution.  We got good pitching and some timely hitting, which we have not done the last couple of weeks."

UCO improved to 21-7 on the year and 17-7 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play in completing the four-game series sweep of the RiverHawks.  NSU fell to 14-17 and 10-14 in the MIAA.

The Bronchos clubbed a season-high 23 hits and scored in every inning en route to a season-best 20 runs.

Jake O' Brien went 4-for-4 with two doubles,  Cesar Wong 4-for-5 with a homer, a double and four RBI and Josh Ingram 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBI.  UCO belted four homers, with Phillip Wilson slugging his ninth and Matt Johnson his 10th.

Mason Justice pitched well for the Bronchos in hitter friendly conditions with the winds gusting straight out.

The senior right-hander retired nine straight at one point before giving up a couple of hits in the fourth and he was pulled after he walked in a run in the fifth.  Justice earned the win to improve to 4-1, giving up three runs on three hits and striking out eight in 4 1/3 innings.

UCO will play Arlington Baptist at home on Tuesday before starting a four-game conference series against Fort Hays State Friday.
