LAWTON, Okla. (Feb. 23) –
No. 8-ranked Central Oklahoma hammered four home runs in a come-from-behind 10-8 second-game victory over Cameron to complete a doubleheader sweep of the Aggies here Saturday afternoon.

Kalynn Schrock threw a complete-game five-hitter and struck out 16 in a 4-0 opening-game shutout before the Bronchos used a pair of three-run homers and two solo shots to overcome 3-0 and 6-3 deficits in the nightcap.

UCO stretched its winning streak to five in a row in improving to 9-3 and continue its early-season road trip Tuesday with a doubleheader at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The Bronchos fell behind 3-0 after two innings of the nightcap, but got back in the game quickly in the third when Kacie Edwards and Nicole Workman drew two-out walks before Sam Cool's three-run homer to center field tied it.

CU came back with two runs in the bottom of that frame and one in the fourth to move in front 6-3 before UCO again used the long ball to rally.

This time it was a three-run shot by Edwards that tied it in the fifth, with the school's all-time home run leader following Ally Dziadula's lead-off single and a walk to Tori Collet with a blast over the right field fence.  The Bronchos then took the lead on Hayley Hudson's two-out solo homer.

Dziadula pushed the lead to 8-6 in the sixth with a two-out solo drive to left field, with the Aggies getting one run back in the bottom of that inning to pull within 8-7.

Kaylee Brunson's two-run single in the top of the seventh pushed UCO's lead to 10-7 and the Aggies scored once in their final at bat before Schrock closed out the game.

Dziadula and Hudson had three hits each to pace a 12-hit attack.  Schrock picked up her second win of the day in relief, giving up five hits and three runs in 4 2/3 innings.

UCO took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of the opener after Dziadula led off with a single, went to second on Collet's sacrifice bunt, advanced to third on Edwards' single and scored on an error.

The Bronchos made it 2-0 in the third on Workman's single that scored Collet, who had led off with a hit.  Workman doubled in the fifth and came home on Brooke Zukerman's two-out double to push the lead to 3-0 and Workman's sacrifice fly in the seventh completed the scoring.

Schrock was virtually untouchable in the contest, scattering five hits while striking out 16 and walking just two.

Workman went 3-for-4 to lead UCO's 11-hit assault, while Collet, Edwards and Devyn Frazier had two hits apiece.
