Biography

Proven senior veteran and team leader who has been a starter throughout her career . . . One of the top players in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and will continue to be UCO’s main catcher while also seeing duty at designated player . . . Outstanding defender behind the plate, possessing a cannon-like arm and great knowledge of the pitching staff . . . Clutch hitter with good power set to once again be a main run-producer for the Bronchos . . . Started her first two years before missing most of the 2015 campaign to injury, but received a hardship ruling to retain a year of eligibility and rebounded in spectacular fashion last spring . . . Has played in 160 games with 158 starts and has a .328 career average.

2016:  First-team All-MIAA selection and second-team Conference Commissioner’s Association All-Central Region pick at catcher after batting .370 with 10 doubles, seven home runs and 30 runs batted in . . . Played in 50 games with 48 starts, 34 at catcher and 14 at DP . . . Had 16 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI outings . . . Hit .500 (14-for-28) during one nine-game stretch . . . Had a .476 average (20-for-42) when leading off and batted .429 (21-for-49) with runners in scoring position . . . Earned MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
2015:  Started the season strong before going out with injury . . . Hit .353 with two homers, two doubles and five RBI in the first seven games.
 
2014:  Was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Year after making no errors in 278 fielding chances while also throwing out 5-of-14 would-be base stealers . . . Batted .317 with eight doubles, two homers and 22 RBI as a second-team All-MIAA selection . . . Started 41 games, with 37 at catcher and four at DP . . . Had six multi-hit and six multi-RBI games, capped by 5-for-5, two-double, five-RBI outing in first-round win over Emporia State in the Central Regional . . . Hit homers in wins over Nebraska-Kearney and Southwest Baptist.
 
2013:  Was one of just two players to start all 62 games and caught every inning as the Bronchos went 51-11 in winning the national title . . . Ended with a .294 average that included six doubles, three homers and 31 RBI  to earn honorable mention All-MIAA honors . . . Really came on at the plate during UCO’s 9-0 run in the national tournament, batting .393 (11-for-28) with four runs and three RBI in that span while ending the season with an eight-game hitting streak . . . All-tournament pick in the Division II World Series after hitting .385 (5-for-13) in four games with no errors . . . Had 12 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI outings, highlighted by 3-for-4, four-RBI game against Lincoln . . . Had a .991 fielding percentage with only four errors in 451 chances and made just one miscue in the last 18 games.
 
High School:  Basketball-softball star at Jersey Village High School in Houston . . . Two-time All-District pick in softball, leading the team to the state playoffs as a junior . . . Team captain and All-District performer in basketball.
