DURANT, Okla. (Oct. 9) --
Central Oklahoma had little trouble disposing of intrastate rival Southeastern Oklahoma here Tuesday night, rolling to a three-set sweep in the non-conference battle at Bloomer Sullivan Fieldhouse.

The Bronchos claimed a 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 victory in finishing a two-match break from their Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association schedule.  UCO, which routed East Central in three sets last week, improved to 7-11 with the win.

"We struggled some in the first set, but played pretty well in the last two and came out with a good road win," first-year head coach Edgar Miraku said.  "We've been able to get a few players healed up the last two weeks with only a couple of matches and hopefully that will help us when we return to conference play."

The Bronchos resume MIAA action Friday at Northwest Missouri and Saturday at Missouri Western.

Morgan Roy led Tuesday's rout of the Savage Storm, collecting a match-high 16 kills to go along with nine digs and two service aces.  Barbara Jackson added 11 kills and 13 digs.

UCO also got 28 assists, nine digs and three kills from setter Faith Harmon, while Tyler Gromann and Juliette Smith had four kills each and Tate Hardaker a match-high 17 digs.
