Bronchos Come In Fourth

DALLAS (March 9) -- All five players shot in the 70s for Central Oklahoma in the final round of the Audible Closed Championship here Tuesday at the Golf Club of Dallas.

The Bronchos closed with a 306 to finish fourth in the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a 941 total, just one shot back of third-place West Texas A&M. Redlands Community College won the team title at 916, with Midwestern State at 926.

Erica Bensch and Taylor Neidy fired final-round 75s to lead UCO, while Emily Leahey, Chaney Uhles and Mychael McWhorter all shot 78.

Bensch ended up eight in the individual standings at 233, with Leahey (11th, 235), Uhles (12th, 236) and Neidy (T-13th, 237) all finishing in the top 15.

The Bronchos are off next week before returning to action at Midwestern State Classic March 21-22.
