UCO Has High Finishes

FELLSMERE, Fla. (March 20) – Central Oklahoma had several high finishes in the 2010 Governor's Cup that concluded here Saturday.

The Bronchos captured one race and had a pair of runner-up showings in the two-day competition, with the team of coxswain Christina Cantrell, Stephanie Lay, Sarah Jones, Sierra Crook and Katerina Gabrovska winning one Varsity 4+ race and finishing second in another

UCO's Varsity 8+ unit of coxswain Rachel Basinger, Calah Lynes, Laura Borkenhagen, Jessica Lawson, Brittany Koster, Kristin Philhower, Ashley Lawson, Rachel Kliewer and Katie Spaulding came in second and third in two races.

The B team of coxswain Lauren Winston, Jill Harrison, Nicole Gibbon, Courtney Craig and Kasey Bartodej had a pair of third-place finishes in Varsity 4+ action.

The Bronchos return to action at the San Diego Crew Classic Friday and Saturday in San Diego, Calif.
