Central Oklahoma's Six Wins In 2025-26 Are Third Most In School History

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Central Oklahoma's season came to an end on Saturday at the conclusion of the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional Championships, where the Bronchos finished 11th in the final team standings.

UCO posted a 54-hole 889. The Bronchos lowered their team score each day but never recovered from a first day stumble. Central turned in a season-high 303 on Thursday, a 294 on Friday, and then finished with a 292 Saturday.

Grand Valley State won the regional title with a 3-over-par 867 (286-287-294). The Lakers were five shots ahead of runner up Missouri – St.  Louis' 872 (293-295-284). Central Missouri (873) finished third and Washburn (879) finished fourth. Those four teams advance to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada next week.

UCO's season ends with six victories, tied for the third most in school history.

Nick Canales led the Bronchos this week with an eighth-place finish after a 54-hole 216. The junior shot rounds of 74, 68, and 74 to finish even par for the championship. The top two individuals not on an advancing team qualified for next week national championships. Canales was one shot off a tie for fourth and a playoff for the second qualifying spot.

Baylor Bostick finished tied for 33rd with a 6-over 222. He was 4-over Thursday and 5-over Friday but fired a 3-under-par 69 on Saturday to move 33 spots up the leaderboard.

Bryant Polhill finished 43rd individually with an 8-over 224. The sophomore returned to the lineup after missing the spring with an injury to shoot rounds of 74, 77, and 73 this week.

Rhett Hughes finished 69th with a 228 (79-73-76). Karsten Paciotti shot a 9-over 81 on Thursday and was subbed out for Ty Hyatt, who shot a 4-over 76 on Friday. Paciotti returned to the lineup for Saturday's final round and finished with a 6-over 78.
