UCO Trio Earns All-America Scholar Honors

Baylor Bostick, Rhett Hughes, Karsten Paciotti Named GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Three Central Oklahoma golfers were named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars it was announced Monday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
Baylor Bostick, Rhett Hughes, and Karsten Paciotti each earned the distinction. Bostick and Paciotti are All-America Scholars for the second year in a row while Hughes earned the honor for the first time.
 
"We are proud of these guys for their work in the classroom," UCO head men's golf coach Derrick Thompson said. "The grind of the season in both semesters is a lot and they not only did a great job for the team on the course, but also in the classroom."
 
To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors, compete in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0, and maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
 
Central Oklahoma had another dominating season on the golf course, winning the MIAA regular season and postseason championships before competing in the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Regional Championships. All three student-athletes earned All-MIAA honors, Hughes and Bostick were named All-Region, and Bostick earned a third consecutive All-American honor.
 
Central Oklahoma begins the 2026-27 season in just over a month, teeing off Sept. 8-9 in the season opening event at Mules National in Missouri.
