UCO Ends Regular Season At Northwest Missouri

Central Oklahoma Plays Final Three Games Before Postseason

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Oklahoma wraps up the regular season this weekend with a three-game MIAA series at Northwest Missouri.

The Bronchos are 24-23 on the season with a 15-18 record in the MIAA. Northwest Missouri, which is ranked No. 23 in the country in the latest American Baseball Coaches Association Top 25, is 34-13 overall and 24-9 in the MIAA.

Postseason positioning is on the line on the final weekend ahead of next week's MIAA Baseball Championship, which is hosted by UCO May 6-9 at Wendell Simmons Field. The Bronchos are currently in ninth place and could finish anywhere from seventh to ninth. Northwest is currently in third place and could finish anywhere from first to fifth.

Central Oklahoma takes to Maryville an offense averaging 6.8 runs per game while collecting 9.0 hits per game. The Bronchos as a team have a .288 batting average. Defensively, Central Oklahoma has a team ERA of 6.72, allowing 7.0 runs per game while opponents manage 10.8 hits per contest.

Northwest Missouri welcomes UCO to Maryville to face an offense averaging 8.4 runs per game on 10.4 hits per game. The Bearcats have a team batting average of .303 through 47 games played. Defensively, Northwest has a 5.91 team ERA and gives up 6.6 runs per game on 9.7 hits per game.

UCO is led by Drake Lee, who has a .431 batting average in 43 games played this season. The senior first baseman leads UCO in at bats (160), hits (69), doubles (12), home runs (eight), and RBIs (45). Noah Smallwood (.333), Carson Taylor (.323), and Elijah Alexander (.308) also lead the way for the Bronchos. Alexander is second on the team with 45 hits and also tied with Lee with eight homers. Smallwood is second with 11 doubles and leads the team with four triples.

Kamden Thompson leads the UCO pitching staff with a 6.12 ERA in 12 appearances, 11 starts. He has thrown 57.1 innings this season and has 19 strikeouts. Danny Satterlee has an 8.38 ERA in 12 appearances – all starts. Satterlee has a team-high 46 strikeouts in 48.1 innings pitched this season. Logan Taylor, UCO's third starter, has a 5.35 ERA in 11 appearances, 10 starts. He is tied for second on the team with 37 strikeouts.

Mylan Childers also has 37 Ks in 25.0 innings out of the bullpen. Chase Yarger has 29 Ks in 36.0 innings with a team-high 21 appearances (two starts). Brody Berlowitz has 27 Ks in 29.1 innings pitched with 16 appearances and four starts.
